QUEENSLAND’S 3rd GOLD MEDAL

Once again the Ladies Queensland Senior Side has won Gold in the Australian Senior Sides which was held in South Australia on the Yorke Peninsula.  There was a dramatic finish after 4 days of competition between all States and Territories, in fact it came down to the last bowl in the game between Queensland and Victoria as to whether the Queensland girls would win or Western Australia would go home with the Medals.  Fortunately the Victorian Skip missed her weighted shot and then the exciting celebrations began.  It’s Queensland’s third Gold Medal win in a row.

The Brisbane District was represented by Jenny Blundell & Sue O’Toole in the Ladies Teams and Geoff Jensen in the Mens.
