Premier 7s-2017

Well the season has finished (for some) last Saturday.  What a great competition.

Special congratulations to our Division 1 side, who finished their season on top of the ladder in their section.

A great achievement against lots of strong teams in their section.  And even more congratulations for their win in the sectional play-offs last weekend beating Darra Cementco to advance to the quarter finals.  Mardy had a strong win in the Singles (31-18) whilst Baxy, Kelly, Dave and Les had a great win in the 4’s (29-12).  Dan and Mick put up a great fight in the pairs but unfortunately went down 17-23 in a tough game.

Their quarter final game is against West Toowoomba on Saturday 8 April at 9.30am at Mermaid Beach.  They move onto the semi-finals on the Sunday if they win on Saturday.

The Club competed in 5 divisions and we are sure that the bowlers have experienced what it takes to match it with some of the best bowlers in SEQ.  We can now take all that match play into the club championships and shortly the district pennants.  Congratulations to all who played, marked, umpired and managed sides throughout the season.
