CELEBRATING BROWNIES LIFE MEMBERSHIP
On Saturday 1 July, just 2 days before Brownies 64th birthday, the Windsor Bowls Club members helped Al celebrate his newly bestowed honour of Life membership.
This was a truly deserved honour given the amount of time and effort he devotes to the running of the Club as well as what he contributes to bowls at the Club as well as the District and even higher levels. As Brownie says the colour of his blood is Windsor Royal Blue.
The day started off with an official presentation with Chairperson Trevor Winters outlining Brownies long list of contributions and achievements. Macca followed this up with a more light-hearted view of Al’s contribution to the Club. We then had a great game of Social bowls. With the big turn-out of players the Club looked spectacular with everyone in their Windsor colours flooding the greens. Afterwards platters of food were provided to line our stomachs for some celebrations that went well into the night.
